Our purpose
A book can become a child's first adventure, a favorite story, or a reason to keep learning. Helping Others Smile Foundation has donated more than 500 books through its book-giving efforts. One major collection in December 2023 brought together 339 books for Books Between Kids, supporting access to age-appropriate books at home for children in Houston.
Our foundation hosted a book drive that collected 339 books for Books Between Kids. In its December 14, 2023 thank-you message, the organization confirmed the collection and explained that the books would help more children in Houston have age-appropriate reading material in their homes.
The 339-book drive is part of our total of more than 500 books donated—not an additional count. Together, these efforts reflect a simple belief: sharing books is a practical way to support learning beyond the classroom.
