We volunteered at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the summer of 2017 in a competitive program.  We were fortunate enough to be chosen from 500 applicants to be a part of the small team of 18 volunteers.  This gave us an opportunity to become better leaders and practice the act of volunteerism.  We were able to give back to those in need of help through various jobs including working in the diagnostic center, navigating patients, operating the coffee and popcorn cart, and more.  Through the act of selfless service, we were able to make a difference in the lives of families going through a tough time and put a smile on their faces.
